The Stanford Neuroimmunology Clinic is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our wonderful team. We are dedicated to providing excellent and compassionate care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders, and other neurological disorders. We provide education and training, while helping you grow into the position as an expert in the field of nursing care for our patient population.
RN coordinators provide coordination and care of patients requiring assistance and support in accessing and managing their health care needs. They collaborate with other health care providers to ensure continuity of care and coordination of a wide variety of patient services. Responsibilities include coordinating patient contact, patient education, medication education, prior authorization facilitation, and preparing patients/families for procedures/tests in collaboration with the health care team; collaborating with others to ensure continuity of care and coordination of a wide variety of patient services; identifying opportunities to improve patient care services; assisting clinic management to identify and develop operational needs for the clinic and to improve patient care services.

The University of Washington Department of Neurology and the UW Medicine Multiple Sclerosis Center are recruiting for a compassionate and enthusiastic nurse practitioner to join our clinical team. The ARNP position is half time (0.5 FTE, or 20 hours per week) and will be accompanied by a UW faculty appointment with the Department of Neurology. Our MS Center is located on the serene Northwest Hospital campus in North Seattle. The clinic is modern and bright and is a beautiful place to work.
The UW Medicine Multiple Sclerosis Center offers interdisciplinary, comprehensive care to patients with multiple sclerosis. We strive to provide quality care for our patients, with whom we often develop close, long-term treatment relationships. Our team offers numerous services on site, including disease management by an attending neurologist, symptom management by an attending rehabilitation physician, care/case management by MS-certified nurses, complex medication management by an MS-certified pharmacist, urgent care for MS-related issues by our ARNP, infusion services on site, psychologists, and a rehabilitation counselor, all of whom are experienced with working with patients with MS. In addition we enjoy close collaborations with physical, occupational, and speech therapists at Northwest Hospital as well as at the University of Washington Medical Center.
ARNP Job Responsibilities (Please remember we have a whole team of very friendly providers to help provide on the job training):
• Seeing patients for follow up visits alternating with visits with the attending neurologist and/or rehab physician
• Seeing patients for urgent issues that may be related to their MS
• Assessing for possible MS exacerbations and treating exacerbations as indicated
• Ordering diagnostic and maintenance labs and imaging to help with disease and medication management
• Supporting the infusion nurses when patients present with concerning symptoms, questions or concerns
• Assisting the physicians with management of patient communications, test results, and paperwork
• ARNP license, healthcare experience, interest in neurology/rehab medicine/multiple sclerosis
• Experience working in an outpatient neurology/rehab clinic or in a primary care clinic with MS experience
• Desire to grow: We would support MS certification for our ARNP over time

The Schapiro Center for Multiple Sclerosis at the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology currently seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to join its excellent health care team. Working closely with the physician, NP, PA and other staff to provide patient care, this position offers a unique opportunity to develop an expertise in Multiple Sclerosis at a distinguished MS Center.
The RN works both in-person and over the phone to coordinate care, triage questions, and provide pertinent information and education to patients and their families. Also assists patients with appointments; obtains necessary prior authorizations for prescribed treatments; completes a variety of forms and documents; and facilitates prescription refills. Reviews diagnostic results and information with physician.
B.S.N. or A.S. degree in nursing and MN license required. Must have three or more years of experience working as a registered nurse; experience in neurology is strongly preferred. Experience with infusion therapy helpful. Must be patient centered with strong customer service orientation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Must be detail-oriented and proficient with MS Office and electronic health record systems.
This position is full-time, Monday – Friday, daytime hours. Must be flexible with varying start and end times.
