On April 1, 2005 Acorda Therapeutics® launched Zanaflex® Capsules (tizanidine hydrochloride). The new dosage form is available as 2mg, 4mg and new 6mg capsules.

Acorda is committed to the safe and effective use of Zanaflex Capsules.

   • Zanaflex Capsules are not the same product as Zanaflex tablets or tizanidine tablets.
   • Zanaflex Capsules have not been given an A/B rating.
   • Because they are not therapeutically equivalent, it is important that you be aware that      patients’ clinical experience can change significantly if switched from capsules to      tablets.

Please carefully check all Zanaflex prescriptions to ensure the correct information is dispensed to your patients.
