Advancing the MS APN as Clinician, Educator,
Researcher and Leader:

A COMPREHENSIVE
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Sponsored by the Holy Name Hospital and International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN), the Comprehensive Educational Program in MS Nursing is an educational opportunity for Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) to develop skills and knowledge necessary to provide the highest quality of specialized MS nursing care. Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Educators and Nurse Researchers will participate in this program as advisors and learners.

This program will utilize a fellowship model in which APNs will apply and a review process will be implemented by an assigned review committee. Applicants who are accepted to the program will become learners with an assigned faculty advisor.

Advisor Qualifications:
• APN
• Master’s Degree or equivalent
• Credentials per state requirements
• IOMSN member in good standing
• MSCN desirable
• Actively working with people living with MS in clinical practice or through research
• Minimum five (5) years experience in MS care or research recommended

The IOMSN is seeking experienced nurses with the qualifications stated above to become an advisor. Interested applicants may apply by downloading the application form.


Learner Qualifications:

• RN licensure or approved equivalent in other countries.
• At least 2 years nursing experience.
• A Masters Degree in Nursing or Certification in Advanced Practice Nursing.
• Actively working with people living with MS.
• Credentials per state requirements.
• IOMSN member in good standing.
